Are You Doing the Bikini Series?

Hi guys!
So first off, I'm totally going to be raving in this post, but it's because I genuinely love it and not at all because they sponsored me or anything remotely like that. Well, I know that I kind of a let myself go when I got injured because I figured that I couldn't exercise as much or as well or whatever. That was all fine and dandy when I could cover up with a huge sweater or jacket, but now that it's getting warmer and people are stripping down, I wanted to get in shape! I've loved Tone It Up for a while now, and I've decided to join their Bikini Series! It's an 8 week series running from this week until the first official day of summer! When you sign up they give you a few recipes and you get daily workouts and you can sign up for their free community. I love the motivation that I get from all the bikini babes and I have their iphone app and love it! I'm really stoked for these next 8 weeks and I would love it if some of my followers would do it with me! You can sign up here and if you are already a part of the tone it up community, you can friend me here!
Let me know if you're going to do the series with me in the comments and don't forget to follow this blog for more fitness and diet posts!

Inspirational Quotes of the Week #11

Hi guys!
So I have another inspirational quotes of the week post for you guys! I have four quotes for this week that I think you'll really like!

Saw this quote and loved it! It is really witty and funny and I love it!

This is for the beauty gal in me! It's such an easy quote, but so true at the same time! Like it's a fun way of saying that it's the person that makes an outfit fabulous, not necessarily the clothes (although great clothes helps!)

This quote sums up my thoughts about life and the future perfectly! I think I'm becoming more laid back because there is less than a month of school left (which isn't so good for my grades!)

Just a good reminder that what's in the past is in the past and that everything happens for a reason!

So that was my quick inspirational quotes post! I promise to try give this blog more attention, but I have been so crazy busy recently so I've been a little neglectful!

Inspirational Quotes of the Week #10

Hi guys!
So I have another Inspirational Quotes of the Week post for you guys! It is really feeling like spring now, so I have some springtime quotes for you today! Let's get started :D

This is something that I've been trying to do more often especially since I've been super busy lately with studying for AP Finals in a month (ahhh!), homework, drivers ed, blogging... But really, blogging is my release so I love doing it (although I wish I could do it more often!) and I've also been trying to do at least 10 minutes of yoga a day!

Life is too short to be anything but happy! I will totally do a post on how I try to stay happy, so definitely check back soon for that, but I think that this time of the year, everyone gets a whole lot happier! Maybe it's because of the sun!

It's spring! This means warmer weather, sun, and fun! Make sure to try and get out of the house as much as possible and soak up that vitamin D!

So those are some of my favorite quotes this week! Let me know what your favorite quote is in the comments and don't forget to follow this blog for more posts!

Yet Another Injury Update (for all you curious people)

Hi guys!
So I know that this post isn't going to appeal to most of my readers, so if you don't want to read it I totally get it! Since maybe september 2013, I've been tracking my shoulder injury and just doing periodic updates on it on this blog! I think it's really helped me get out my frustration and stay sane during this whole ordeal. I've recently met with my surgeon and I now have a better understanding of what's wrong with me and all that so I thought I'd share because I know some of you guys are curious!

Well just to recap, I dislocated my shoulder really badly during cheerleading when I did a back handspring. I rehabed it, but it sublaxed (partially popped out) again and after that I had shoulder instability (when it moves around in unnatural ways). I took a lot of x-rays and a MRI and my orthopedic doctor told me that I tore my labrum, which is the cartilage in my shoulder. I didn't know how serious this injury was until I met with my surgeon and he said that while most people have one or two tears at the most, I tore pretty much the entire thing. It was really scary though because my surgeon said that he doesn't know how bad it's torn and he won't know how much to fix until he actually cuts me open. It's not like a urgent surgery, so I scheduled it for June 4 because it's after my finals and all that! The surgery is supposed to take anywhere between 1.5-6 hours depending on how much he needs to fix, which is a really huge range! My surgeon isn't the most reassuring guy because he said "we're doing your surgery at surgicare, so you don't have the bacteria of a hospital, but if you go into cardiac arrest, you're not going to be in a hospital," which totally freaked my parents out!

After the surgery I'm going to be in a sling for a month, but it'll take me 6-12 months to be 100% better. I'm also getting a lot of painkillers after the surgery and they're giving me a nerve block, so I'm kind of freaked out to see my arm like a limp noodle after surgery! Also, the surgery I'm getting is arthroscopic so it is done through incisions with a camera!

I don't mean to do these posts in a "poor me" type of way because I am honestly really fine with the way I am now and it's just a little annoying if anything! Let me know in the comments if you've ever had shoulder surgery because I am trying to do my research and find out how other people's surgeries have gone to try and calm my nerves! If you've made it this far, thank you so much because I know this post is so crazy and long!
