Summer Reading

Hey guys!
Summertime is here and I'm determined to start reading some more! Reading is something I love to do for fun, but hate for school. I decided to do a post on my reading plans for the summer in the hopes that some of you guys could leave me suggestions if you know of some great books that I don't and also so you guys can request reviews if you're interested in reading some. Just a little disclaimer, this list is embarrassing. Like really embarrassing. Some of these books are so popular or so old that you're going to think I'm crazy for waiting so long to read them, but I'm willing to take that risk to share this list with y'all. So here we go!

Divergent (and Insurgent and Allegiant)
So I finished divergent in a day (it was that good) and I'm going to start insurgent tonight I think. I'm so behind on this series and I had seen the movie version of divergent before I read the book and I really like it! I actually saw the movie twice because I loved it so much and the book is soooooo good!

The Fault in Our Stars
Another insanely popular book that I haven't read yet. Once again, like divergent, I saw the movie without having read the book (yes I'm one of those people) and I loved the movie and I love John Green (literally the only reason I passed APUSH) and I'm positive I'll love the book once I read it!

The Maze Runner
Honestly, I haven't really heard much about this book from my friends and this book has been around for a while, but I really want to read it because I'm really into dystopian novels right now.

I also have some books that are for an english class that I unfortunately had to drop as it didn't fit into my schedule, but are classics that I haven't read yet. So I might read them this summer if I feel like it, but I'm not quite sure if I will because they are harder and more complex. These books include Antigone, Lord of the Flies, and Macbeth

So if you have some other books that you love, let me know because I really want some suggestions! Also, don't forget to follow me on twitter because I've been tweeting daily lately!

P.S. One of my readers told me to read the Slated trilogy because it's another dystopian type novel on facebook! Just thought I'd share!

My thoughts on Million Dollar Listings Miami

Hi guys!
So all of you probably know that I love Million Dollar listings both the New York and LA ones. Last night, Million Dollar Listings Miami premiered on Bravo and I thought I'd share my thoughts with you because I am such a huge fan of the franchise so here we go.

First off, let me start off with my overall thoughts. I do like this show, but I don't think that it's as good as the New York or Los Angeles ones. Now let's get into the nitty gritty. I'm not going to do any spoilers or plot things in this post for those of you who have yet to watch this episode, so I'm going to focus on my opinions and my thoughts on this.

As usual there are 3 brokers that this show follows. Chad, Chris, and Sam. There is a first in this show as Sam is a girl! Both NY and LA have all male casts, so I was interested to see if I liked a girl on this show. I don't. Nothing against Sam as a person, but I think that she comes of as a little needy, whiny, and bitchy. I get that she feels like she has something to prove being self employed and a female, but I don't like the vibe I get from her and she is my least favorite broker on the show and in the entire franchise. Chad is okay. I don't really know how I feel about him yet, but I feel like he's the person you love to hate (if you watch LA, this would be the Altman). Chris is fucking fabulous! He is my favorite by far on this show and I love him! Seriously he is like a sane version of Fredrik (from NY) with a little more botox.

The vibe that I get from all three of these brokers is that they're trying too hard! It's been 7 years since the start of Million Dollar Listings Los Angeles and 2 years since Million Dollar Listings New York, and I feel like the brokers are too rehearsed and are trying too hard! Especially Sam and Chad. Just saying.

So I guess what I'll leave you with is watch the episode and decide for yourself. Personally, it doesn't compare to Los Angeles or New York for me, but I'll let you make you're own opinions about that. Also, just an FYI Madison isn't returning to Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles for season 7 and they're getting 2 new brokers! I'm seriously so sad because Madison has been my favorite for a long time!

My top 5 Starbucks Drinks (Summer Edition)

Hey guys!
So I thought that it would be fun to do a top 5 starbucks drinks post focusing on what I like to order during the summer! My starbucks picks differ depending on the time of year (I'm not going to get a hot latte on a 90° day!) so these are the ones I love during the summer! Also, these aren't in any particular order.

1) Black Iced Tea (sweetened)
This is so thirst quenching! It's really refreshing and yummy! I like getting mine sweetened, and also the Black Iced Tea with lemonade is really good too although I tend to get the plain iced tea most of the time.

2) Green Tea Frap
Super yummy! It tastes similar to green tea lattes or ice cream and is really delicious. It has a really yummy matcha taste and it also looks really pretty with that bright green color! I also love this frap because it tastes just as good or even better without the whip cream as it does with it (so you save yourself some calories!)

3) Passion Iced Tea (half the sweetener)
This is another really pretty shade! The bright pink shade is so gorgeous and I love getting this with half the sweetener because it saves you some calories and also this tea doesn't need a lot of sweetener to taste great!

4) Iced Caramel Macchiato
Caramel ones are my favorite, but if you prefer vanilla or hazelnut, those could be just as good! I love getting mine layered because the espresso is on the top and it looks really pretty! Get it skinny and you can save some calories with it!

5) Caramel Frap
I love caramel, and caramel fraps are so delicious! I like getting these with whipped cream, so it is a little heavier on the calories, but when you want to treat yourself, this is super yummy and is also really great on a hot day!

So those are my top 5 summer starbucks drinks! Let me know what yours are in the comments!

Surgery update

Okay guys! So I just tweeted about this so I assume that some of you guys are going to read this and I wanted to do a little intro. So this post is really short and just bad quality because I used voice recognition on my phone 4 days after surgery and I was sick and in pain and it hurt like hell so excuse the bad writing. Also, it's been around 2 and a half weeks since surgery if that gives you a time reference. Also, theres a picture below of my shoulder (like inside) so if you don't want to see that EXIT NOW (even though it's not bad or gory at all). Okay so there's my little intro! The rest is from when I wrote it originally!

So I had surgery 4 days ago and I thought I would update you guys.

On surgery day I went in at 7:15 am to check in. It was all pretty uneventful but they had trouble setting up my iv. I think they tried four spots on my left arm and they couldn't find my vein so that was pretty painful. They also gave me a nerve block so it was a shot in the neck and that hurt a lot too. Other than that I don't really remember much of the preoperational stuff. After the surgery I woke up super nauseous because of the anesthesia they gave me but I still had the nerve block so my arm wasn't in pain. I was so nauseous from the anesthesia as it was wearing off and the painkillers they gave me made me even more nauseous. The pain got really bad at 11 o'clock at night and that was probably the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. But other than that the pain hasn't been too bad. Thursday was more of the same I was still nauseous but the pain was only like a six on a 10 point scale. I had my first post op on Friday and that was pretty rough. I was so nauseous and dizzy that walking was kind of a struggle. But may surgeon switched my meds to a non-narcotic and gave me a patch for my nausea.

So that's pretty much it. I've been icing a lot and sleeping a lot and I've been watching the Kardashian marathon on e. I'm sorry if this post is really hard to read but I've been using the voice recognition on my iPhone so I didn't have to write it out. I hope this is interesting for you guys and I'll talk to you later!

I'm so scared!

Hi guys!
So this will probably be a longish post and I'm writing it on my phone so let's pray that there arent too many spelling mistakes! This will be the last shoulder surgery post before I actually have the surgery on Wednesday so here we go!
I had my pre op appointment on Thursday and to be honest, it was hella scary! We had to sign consent forms and it's scary to read them because I'm super familiar with the labral repair surgery I'm supposed to have but when you read all the things that they could do to you when you're unconscious it's scary! Especially micro fracturing. Apparently it's like they put small cracks in your bone to increase blood flow. I've also been going through periods of extreme anxiety over the pain! Like my surgeon was talking about how the nerve block usually wears off in the middle of the night and that's when the pain will hit. I'm so freaked out because I have a high pain tolerance but the mental anticipation is really scary! The bright side is I'm getting strong pain meds (hydrocodone if you were wondering) so that should make it better... Hopefully! I'm trying to keep my mind off of it by party planning a get together on Tuesday night and I think it's a good distraction!
Well I hope this post was interesting, although I highly doubt it! I'll do little progress posts after my surgery and until then I love you all and thanks for being so patient with my crazy posting schedule!
