Throughout the Years - Fourth Grade!

Hey guys!
I might start posting these more frequently to get through with them faster, but I'm not quite sure yet! This is my throughout the years fourth grade video and just a disclaimer, it is very blurry for the first minute, which I'm super sorry about! I hope you enjoy!

I hope you liked this video, and if you did, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe! I'll be back with a new video in a few days and I'll try to post at least every other day on this blog!

Net Neutrality

Hi guys!
I know that I rarely write posts on news topics, but this is a topic that affects a lot of us youtubers out there and is something that needs to be shared and addressed.

Currently, the FCC is considering a new law that would make some videos faster and others slower based on what companies are willing to pay for views. This is problematic for many reasons, but the biggest one is that it doesn't put everyone on a level playing field. Some videos will be faster and others will be slower and that's not fair to both the content creators as well as the viewers.

If you have made even one video on youtube, you should care about this because it has the opportunity to cut your revenue, lower your subscriber base, and stifle your creativity.

So what can you do about this? There's a petition online (that I'll link here) that is going to be presented to the FCC and try to get them to keep and maintain Net Neutrality. So all of us are on an even playing field.

If you want to learn more about this, you can read a little bit about it on the petition website, or this tumblr has a good little bit about it!

I hope that you seriously consider signing the petition because it's important for youtubers and really, everyone!

Music Favorites of the Moment!

Hi guys!
So I wanted to do another music favorites of the moment type post! I recently posted another song favorites post, but that was written a couple months ago before my shoulder surgery and I thought I'd do a more up to date one!

Wasted - Tiesto ft Matthew Koma
Ahhhh! Love this song! The first time I heard this song, I thought that it was really weird, but now I'm totally obsessed! If you don't like it the first time you hear it, just give it another try and I'm sure you'll fall in love with it!

Stolen Dance - Milky Chance
Another song that I thought was weird when I listened to it the first time, but later fell in love with. l don't know exactly why I love this song so much because it is completely different from everything else I listen to, but I do!

Find You - Chrissy Costanza and Alex Goot
I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've mentioned a cover of a song in a favorites post, but this is just as good as the original if not better. I've been totally obsessed with both Alex and Chrissy lately and I love this version of the song!

Au Revoir - One Republic
I'm a huge One Republic fan and if I could, I would put the entire Native album in this post, but Au Revoir has been one of my favorites of the moment, but I've also been loving Feel Again, I Lived, If I Lose Myself, and Preacher from the Native Album.

So I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments what your favorite songs are of the moment because I want to know if there are great songs I'm missing out on! Also, don't forget to follow me on bloglovin! A huge giveaway is coming up once I reach 200 bloglovin followers!

I'm Not a Secret Blogger Anymore!

Hi guys!
So as the title says, I'm not a secret blogger anymore! I told my parents about my blog(s) the other day and honestly I regret it.

You can be at such a high when you're blogging. Because you have some secret connection with the world that you and only you know about and that's all broken once you start mixing internet with reality. Honestly the first thing that my parents said when I told them about my blog is...
"is this something you want to do for the rest of your life?"
"how can you make it bigger"

"how can you monetize it better" etc.

I understand that it comes from a good place, but when it comes down to it, that's the one thing that I hate most. I loved knowing that this was a side of me that I could completely control. I had full creative control over what I wrote and how my blog looked. Full executive control over how my blogs were monetized and managed and now I feel like that's lost. I understand that they want to help and I appreciate that, but this is something that I've done by myself for so long and I feel as if I've made it this far, to over 150 followers on bloglovin and 500 on twitter, I can make it farther alone.

All of my needs about secrecy and intimacy are selfish and I completely and fully comprehend that, but when it comes down to it, I'd rather be selfish and put out things that I love and am proud of than give up my control and feel weak for not being able to accomplish this on my own.

Hopefully I'll grow out of feeling like this, or my family will read this and understand where I'm trying to come from, but for all you secret bloggers out there, remember where you are now. That feeling of intimacy and secrecy is the best thing in the world, and honestly, it's all I crave right now.

Following your dreams is something that I've been really big on lately. I made a couple posts about this on my other blog because it's important for everyone to do what they love!

Another general quote that is applicable to everyone! I hope all of you apply this into your everyday life and always choose joy and happiness over sadness or anger!

So those are my inspirational quotes of the week! I hope you enjoyed this, and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin because I'm doing a giveaway on my other blog once I reach 200!

My 5 favorite Starbucks drinks!

Hey guys!
I am a huge Starbucks fan as most of you know! I go there at least once a week and I've been a gold card member since 2012! So I've tried my fair share of the Starbucks menu and I thought I'd share my top 5 drinks!

1) blackberry mojito tea lemonade
Love this! Chrissy Costanza got me hooked on this and I have to say that it's amazing! It's pretty much a green tea lemonade with blackberry syrup and it's sooooo good! It's also really gorgeous and Instagram worthy if that makes a difference! :P

2) peach green tea lemonade
Similar to the first one, but peach instead of blackberry! So it's a green tea lemonade with peach in it! The peach can be a little strong and sweet, so you might want to adjust the amount of syrup included in it. I prefer the blackberry mojito, but this is a strong second!

3) vanilla frap with a shot of espresso
One of my mom's friends recommended this and it's really awesome! It's not too coffee flavored, and it tastes just like an affogato!

4) java chip frap
I love the texture the java chips give to it and I love that intense mocha, chocolatey flavor! If you always get a mocha frap, try get this next time and see if you like it because it's pretty much the same thing with chocolate chips in it!

5) iced caramel macchiato
I haven't been getting this as much lately, but if I need the caffeine or want something coffee like that isn't actually like a cup of coffee, I'll get this! I've been usually getting lighter drinks like the iced teas and I've been skipping over this, but it's still definitely in my top 5!

... And my 1 food favorite is...
Pumpkin bread!
It's seriously the best food item they serve and it's so delicious! Especially in the fall when you're drinking warmer drinks! It's seriously perfect!

So I hope you liked this post! Let me know what your Starbucks drink and food favorites are in the comments and follow me on bloglovin!

Pros and Cons of being a "secret blogger"

Hi guys!
So as a few of my long term readers know, I'm pretty much a "secret blogger" at this point in my life. This pretty much means that my friends and family in my personal life don't really know about my blogs. The one exception to this so far would be my sister as she's been in some videos. There are definitely pros and cons to being a "secret blogger" that I think it'd share with you guys now!

Pros:
You never feel judged
I've heard horror stories about people being bulled for doing YouTube videos and things like that and I know that there are a lot of misconceptions about beauty blogging and vlogging and if you're a secret blogger, you never once feel judged or hated or anything like that from people in your personal life.

You can write about people in your personal life
I don't tend to do this all to often, but if I wanted to, I could totally write about someone in my life or an event that went down without feeling weird that the other people involved would read it. I think that if you're a secret blogger, it just keeps that stuff a little less awkward.

You have full control
If you are a secret blogger, you have full creative control of your blog and you can do whatever you want without feeling pressured by people to change your layout or topics or anything like that. You can do whatever makes you happy and you don't have other people getting involved because people with good intentions can still be hella annoying.

Cons:
You can't share your success with others
When you hit big milestones such as 100 subscribers or 200 subscribers, it's really hard to keep your blog a secret because you want to share with everyone and anyone!

People think you're doing nothing with your life
This is a huge one for me! My family especially are at the point where they feel like I'm doing absolutely nothing with my life and I'm wasting away in front of the computer screen, when in actually, I'm vlogging or blogging and being creative in my own way. This is the biggest con for me, but where I'm at right now in my life, I feel like the pros outweigh the cons.

So those were the two big cons that I could think of and the three biggest pros. I'm not going to tell you what to do, because I think that being open with your friends and family or hiding this portion of your life is a private matter and something that you need to decide for yourself. I'm still a secret blogger. Is this the best for me right now? Maybe not, but it gives me peace of mind knowing my thoughts are sacred and shared with all of you guys and that internet people are judging me instead of people I personally know! Tomorrow I can change my mind and go public, but for now, I'm happy with my decision and I'm loving being a secret blogger! So now, for all you bloggers out there, let me know how and when you told your friends and family about your blog, or if you're still a secret blogger like me!

Inspirational Quotes of the Week #13

Hey guys!
This week has been so stressful for me because I've been trying to start my own personal shopping business and I've been doing my research and it's been crazy! If you want to see my personal shopping website, check out www.personalshoppingbysienna.blogspot.com

I love this quote because it's been my inspiration and driving force for a while. It was my reason for starting my blogs, YouTube channel, and now, my online personal shopping service. I think it's easy to copy someone else, but to be truly successful, you need to be inventive, new, and entrepreneurial.

This quote is along the lines of the first one, but slightly different. It's pretty much another "take a risk and you'll be rewarded" type quote that I've been loving! These quotes are always so inspirational to me because it pushes me to step outside of my box and take a risk.

This is a quote that is so powerful and I think that it speaks for itself. It has such a good message and I love the meaning of it!

I hope you liked this post, and please check out my new personal shopping business here! Also, let me know what types of posts you'd like to see and what your favorite quotes are!

Panda Express has a tea bar

Hello!
So this is a quick post! I was at panda express other day, and I realized that there was a new tea bar. I think it's still new and it's not at all locations yet, but it's really intriguing and frankly, very cool!

They have a ton of different iced teas and hot teas including various flavored fruit teas! But what I was excited about was the milk tea! You can get it with green, black, or oolong tea and for 50 cents more you can add in various things like boba! It's not the cheapest, but it's a very good. I got the black milk tea with a level 3 sweetness (75% sweet) and small boba and it was on par with other tea places if not better!

I'm seriously so impressed by this and for reference these are like Starbucks priced drinks so $3-5.

If a location near you has this then I definitely recommend trying it! And if you live in hawaii, the new panda at kam shopping center in kalihi is where I got mine! Let me know if you're interested in trying one of these drinks or if you've tried one already, you're thoughts on it!

P.S. I've started personal shopping for people for $15 and if you're interested in hiring me, email personalshoppersienna@gmail.com

Inspirational Quotes of the Week #12

Hi guys!
So I'm back with another Inspirational Quotes of the Week post and it is long overdue! I can't believe that it's been over a month since my last one! But I promise that I'll try to make these a more regular thing because they're so fun for me and I think that it's really nice every once in a while!

I think that this is something that a lot of young adults and teenagers have to deal with: doing what's popular and what everyone else is doing, or doing what is going to get you where you want to go. I love this quote because it validates everything for me and it makes me feel like blogging and making videos is getting me closer to where I want to be.

This is an oldie, but a goodie! Something I want to do this year is to take more chances, meet new people, fall in love, and make memories that last a lifetime.  We only live once, which I think can sometimes enable people to be reckless, but it's a fact and something we need to realize more often!

For all of you teenagers trying to find a clique or a "group" know that the cool kids are never as great as they seem and that a good group of friends can get you through anything life can throw at you.

So I'll try to do these weekly again, but I'm not going to promise because I'll probably skip a few weeks here and there! I love you all so much and I'll love it if you leave your favorite quotes in the comments for me!

New School Year, New You

Hi guys!
I know it's around back to school time for a lot of you and if it isn't, then it will be soon! I don't start until the last week in August, but I know that most of you start a lot sooner than that so I wanted to do this post now. It's just my thoughts and wishes for all of you and I hope you enjoy it!

So it's back to school time and I know that this is met with excitement for a chance to start anew, but also despair for the schoolwork. I want this year to be the best for you and me and I just wanted to give us some things to think about.

The school year goes so quickly and looking back on the years, I regret not living more in the moment. Remember that life is short, and that these are days, and years that you're never going to get back. When we get older, we're going to remember the people and the events and most of all, our feelings rather than grades and papers. But never use "you only live once" as an excuse for yourself. If you drink or do questionable things, that's fine. It's really not my place to judge. But I want you guys to live in the now. Enjoy yourself, have fun, do whatever makes you happy, because in the end, that matters more than the schoolwork.

Respect goes a long way. I've seen my classmates act in ways that aren't the best and I want us to  remember that everyone you meet is a human and everyone goes through hidden struggles everyday. It's so important to respect others and to respect yourself.

I know that many teenagers get into fights with their parents. I do, and pretty much everyone I know does as well. But family is everything and especially once you hit junior and senior year, you need to have open communication and mutual respect if you're considering college because they're most likely going to foot some of the bill. Appreciate all of the sacrifices because it's not easy for them to do and they're not obligated to do it.

Drama isn't cool or fun. Don't start it, don't feed it, pretty much avoid it at all costs and you'll be a lot happier.

Hmmm. So dating. I think just keep everything in perspective. We're in high school guys! Come on! Like we're really going to find our future husband/wife in there. If you want to date, that's great, if not, that's fine too. Keep life in perspective and try to see the bigger picture.

That was a long post! But I just wanted to write some things down so I could keep myself grounded this year and I hope that it helps keep everything in perspective for you guys too! Let me know if you have any advice in the comments and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin!
Love you guys!

Song Favorites!

*Note from Sisi: this post was written a couple months ago lol because I meant to upload it when I was recovering from surgery, which I obviously didn't. I'll be posting a more up to date song favorites in the coming days/week so look for that, but I still listen to and love all these songs!

Hey guys!
I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite songs of the moment! Remember that my spotify playlist is on the left side of the screen in the side bar, so you can always check that out, but I wanted to do a specific post on some of my favorite songs!

1) Anna Sun
I recently fell in love with this song again! It's really great and I love this as a summer party song and it reminds me of shopping in Macys or Hollister or something because I think they played this song in those stores a while ago.

2) Young Blood
Another great indie song! The Naked and Famous recently came to Hawaii to perform and that totally made me remember how much I love this song! It's another great song for a summer party!

3) Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High
A really great Arctic Monkeys song! I love the Arctic Monkeys and this song is really catchy!

4) Tiptoe
After watching the billboard music awards, I fell in love with this song! It's amazing and really great. I love Imagine Dragons too and this is one of my favorite songs from their album!

So those were my favorite songs! Let me know what yours are in the comments below and don't forget to check back on this blog later for more posts!

Wisdom teeth can go to hell

Hi guys!
So as most of you know (if you follow my twitter) I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed yesterday. And it is so freakin sore today!!! My mouth is so sore when I talk or eat and there is this one section that is so inflamed from the injections. By the way, I counted all the shots and they equaled 28! Like holy crap that's a lot. I'm tryna write this on my phone so excuse the bad writing but this is my life blog and I wanted to update you! Also, I've been on a Tylenol and Ibuprofen concoction that sort of helps by not really. But alternating ice and heat helps a TON! I'm gonna do a video on this with like a day by day update hopefully and yeah! I guess that's it! Thank god I watch tons of Sunday shows! I've seen the kardashians and the next foodnetwork star already and I'm taping the last ship and rich kids for tomorrow!
Love you all!!!
Xoxo
